The Membership Director is responsible for the organization, delivery and quality of YMCA membership experiences. This position works independently under the general direction of the Executive and Associate Executive Director and is responsible for program development, staff hiring and supervision, training, budget control, operational management and scheduling in the membership department for Mid Town and Main Street YMCA's in accordance with the philosophy of the YMCA of Greater Oklahoma City.

This is a salaried, exempt position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Promotes and incorporates the YMCA core values into all programs and communications.
  • Recruits, trains, and develops non-exempt staff members.
  • Identifies and resolves problem areas to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Supervises all membership and delivers proper implementation of all front desk procedures.
  • Implements membership strategies that promote recruitment of new members and retention of existing members.
  • Represents the YMCA at community events including health fairs and business expositions as required.
  • Provides consistent member involvement activities for new and existing members.
  • Acts as a liaison for members and both Associate Executive and Executive Branch Director.
  • Performs duties of all membership functions in the absence of staff.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to relate to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Must have current certifications in PR/CPR, AED, O2, First Aid and Redwoods.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $35,500.00 - $38,500.00
