The Administrative Assistant will support the Chapter through general administrative functions including clerical work, filing, postage purchases, resource ordering, data entry, mailings and other projects. In addition, the position is responsible for coordinating the Respite Reimbursement program.

This is a part-time, fully benefited, 30 hour per week position. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Process applications and payment request vouchers for approval by the Executive Director.
  • Perform a wide variety of support tasks including handling and distributing incoming mail, preparing and mailing outgoing mail and retrieving and distributing e-mail.
  • Provide receptionist duties including answering multi-line phone, referring calls to appropriate employee or office and keeping accurate call logs.
  • Assist visitors and maintain the appearance of the lobby, conference room and common areas. 
  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic files.
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of office supplies.
  • Assist with preparation and logistics for meetings and Chapter events, including ensuring conference room calendars are accessible and accurate. 
  • Distribute and maintain informational resources to all Chapter offices within the region.
Educational Background: 
A high school diploma or equivalency
Skills/Experience: 
  • One year of experience providing administrative support
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database management 
  • Proficiency with Google applications for email, calendar, Drive and contacts
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and ages
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and work with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs
