The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and administration of WWP on premise and cloud infrastructure services. The System Administrator supports the existing infrastructure while building out future services to enable the business to scale and operate more efficiently.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Installs, configures, monitors, troubleshoots and maintains existing and new Microsoft Windows and Unix server operating systems, e-mail systems, virtualization environments and storage
- Administers mobile device management platform to include device policies, conditional access and application deployment
- Administers Microsoft Office 365 file and collaboration services
- Provides installation and configuration support for office modifications and data centers
- Provides support to help desk technical staff regarding system administration and usage
- Consults with database programmers, analysts, other systems administrators, and users regarding current and prospective system changes and future needs
- Directs efforts of technicians who are involved in diagnosing and correcting system related failures and performing system management activities
- Determines logical solutions to complex system administration and application problems
- Takes initiative to conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions
- Analyzes existing operations and recommends improvements
- Works with data center and network telecommunicate providers
- Prepares and maintains documentation
- Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience required

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft server roles and features such as Active Directory, DHCP, DFS, DNS, Failover Clustering, File, Hyper-V, IIS, NPS and Print

Education & Experience Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Windows server operating systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, server virtualization platforms, storage and TCP/IP networking required
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience selecting, deploying and maintaining infrastructure hardware such as servers, storage, battery backups
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with software and hardware vendors preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience administering the Microsoft Office 365 suite of tools and systems required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with SolarWinds and ManageEngine, or other monitoring technologies preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Microsoft System Center suite preferred
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
Certifications & Licensure
- MCSA or MCITP required
- MCSE preferred
- VCP preferred
- ITIL Foundations preferred
