As the Development Operations Coordinator, you will play a vital role on the Washington team, ensuring that all fundraising and financial operations run smoothly and efficiently to support our mission to end educational inequity. This position is critical to ensuring that necessary infrastructure and systems are in place to foster an engaging culture of philanthropy within the organization. This role has significant opportunities for professional growth and development through project management and collaboration with team leadership. - Maintain and update donor and constituent database including tracking meetings and interactions, and updating contact information, research profiles, and distribution lists
- Support development strategy through research, communications, and material creation including grants, proposals, and letters of intent and ensure all gift processing systems are efficient and compliant
- Draft and edit grant proposals and reports, which accurately reflect Teach For America’s impact and responsibly share unique stories of our students, corps members, and community impact
- Manage annual school partnership fee process, which includes tracking of partnership agreements, creation of invoices, and follow-up for payment, in collaboration with the Teacher Leadership Development Team and Office of the Executive Director
- Support regional teams in event planning, operations, and logistics as needed
- Serve as a regional buyer, responsible for streamlining external payment processes and tracking monthly expense variances in collaboration with Managing Director of Development
- Prior experience: Two to three years of work experience
- Work Demands: Some travel for retreats and conferences (once a quarter), some evening and/or weekend work required to support events (once a month)
