Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Facilities Director will oversee and supervise the physical operation of all facilities, grounds and vehicles.  The Facilities Director supervises and directs maintenance staff, works with contracted custodial group to ensure attention to detail around cleanliness issues, and is able to delegate tasks to team members when appropriate.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provide prompt response to staff and members for cleanliness, maintenance and buildings and grounds issues.
  • Maintain swimming pools per CCHD and PA Department of Health Regulations.
  • Maintain grounds in a safe manner and pleasing appearance according to the season.
  • Maintain all building systems in fully operational condition.
  • Have all seasonal facilities open and operational on schedule.
  • Maintain inventory of custodial and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate and lead branch Buildings and Grounds meetings.
  • Follow all Association safety standards when performing any tasks.
  • Ensure that all YMCA vehicles are clean and in good working condition and driven only be association eligible drivers with proper training.
  • Maintain all building and fire suppression inspections.
  • Maintain cleanliness of building at all times.
  • Develop and control department budgets related to this position.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of three years' experience in facilities management required.
  • Maintain valid driver's license.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Certified Pool Operators registration within one year of hire.
  • Possess or be able to obtain PA class 24 Pesticide Certification within one year of hire.
  • Must obtain Class 1 Amusement Ride Inspector certification within one year of hire.
  • Successfully complete all required training courses and programs as required.
  • Be willing to alter work schedule to fulfill job demands to include evenings, weekends and occasional overnights.
  • Previous supervisory experience in customer service preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $50,000.00
