The OSA Graphic Design Project Manager is responsible for developing  a continuous stream of engaging content, including PowerPoints, presentations, icons, videos, graphics, infographics, and data visualization that advances AARP and Community, State and National Affairs Group’s (CSN) mission and objectives.  The candidate should be a creative and innovative thinker with strong consultation, project management and writing skills.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Convey the impact and results of CSN work through compelling graphics, Infographics, data visualization, and presentations.
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas, concepts, and ways to tell the CSN story through print, presentations, or other interactive media.
  • Prepare and create high-quality work by gathering information and materials through the use of graphic design software.
  • Promote easy access to data to facilitate timely information sharing.
  • Demonstrate project management skills by prioritizing and delivering projects/deliverables across the Group and Enterprise to a variety of internal clients. 
  • Amend final designs to client comments to deliver projects that are custom to their needs.
  • Assist the CSN team on special projects and assignments, promoting integration across the CSN enterprise.
  • Develop communication tools that enable state offices to share their local message.
  • Educate staff on how to create visually appealing presentations and materials. 
  • Provide project research, analysis and counsel as well as functional support on strategic issues.
Educational Background: 
Must have a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 3+ years graphic design experience.   
Skills/Experience: 
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite design programs ( including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Tableau and PowerPoint.
  • Graphic design skills to create artwork, display data graphically and write copy to accompany.  
  • Strong proficiency in Mac and PC platforms for file manipulation (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Photography and video creation/editing experience.
  • Must understand (and be an active participant on) all things social media (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences. 
  • A portfolio that illustrates digital graphic design work and writing samples will be required.
