Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Tennis manages and oversees daily tennis operations, including registration, rentals, court fees, financial transactions, tennis instruction and events/ tournaments. This position is responsible for all aspects of the facilities operations including the management of all tennis staff, member relations, facility profitability, financial forecasting and all facility budgeting.

- Supervises and manages all Tennis Professionals and tennis staff including all interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management
- Creates, organizes and conducts tennis programs including individual and group instruction, team competitions, league team coaching and special activities
- Develops and manages capital and operational budgets with approval of the CEO
- Develops, produces and distributes tennis program information necessary to promote assigned programs, in accordance with membership and marketing plans
- Ensures that all preventative maintenance and tennis court repairs are completed on a timely basis
- Oversees court reservation program to ensure equitable and amenable allocation of court usage for members, guests, tournaments, lessons, and other events
- Provides excellent customer service and helps monitor guest feedback to ensure appropriate follow up
- Researches and proactively identifies areas of opportunities for new programs and initiatives based on the needs of the greater community and the strategic direction of the YMCA
- Previous Tennis Director experience
- Must be an experienced, strong, successful player
- Teaching certifications from USTA or USPTA
- Experience in promoting and implementing a large and varied program of events, classes, and leagues
- Experience with budget development and financial management is also required
