he Specialist, Marketing is an integral part of the Association’s marketing team, and will play a role in implementing the marketing strategies for the organization, responding to internal and external constituents with top-notch customer service, and working in an efficient and effective manner to achieve the results outlined as our organizational objectives.
This position is based in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Home Office in downtown Chicago, IL and reports to the Sr. Associate Director, Marketing.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages production of internal and external marketing communications materials as identified by team leadership by collaborating with Association-wide business owners, writers and designers.
- Models, supports and implements the Alzheimer's Association brand, maintaining integrity and consistency throughout all communications.
- Serves as project manager for marketing collateral supporting nationwide consumer campaigns to increase concern & awareness and drive constituent engagement including fundraising, advocacy action, and participation in mission activities of the Alzheimer's Association.
- Provides support and guidance to field staff in order to increase nationwide marketing efforts and constituent engagement.
- Provides administrative support and completes other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field
Skills/Experience:
- 2-3 years’ progressive experience in a marketing position in a corporation, healthcare, consumer goods organization, or agency
- Account management experience desirable
- Excellent communications (written and verbal) and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally (up to 5%, with some overnights), as needed
- Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the job
