Teach For America-Rio Grande Valley seeks a Manager, Pre-Corps Experience to maximize the reach and impact of the collective by driving projects and supporting initiatives related to the confirmation, onboarding, and hiring of new corps members. The Manager will be responsible for ensuring that 100% of our incoming corps members are fully compliant with federal, state, and district certification requirements by the first day of school and hired into positions in our partner school districts. As such, the Manager will be primarily focused on reaching the first day of school goal by designing and implementing streamlined and scalable processes for onboarding and developing systems for managing the corps member hiring process.
Design, Plan, and Execute the Pre-Corps Experience (35%)
- Collaborating with the Managing Director, Program Continuum to create and execute the pre-corps strategic and operational plans
- Regionalize national guidance and tools to manage matriculation (confirming new corps members offers to join the corps) and onboarding process for region and manage regional staff members in executing to reach the regional goal including ongoing retention efforts until Induction
- Collaborate with the broader Program Continuum team to design and execute programmatic onboarding experiences.
- Update and manage all corps member communications related to joining the corps, testing, certification, and transition to region, including providing support and resources during the process
- Engage with certification partner to update and manage knowledge of certification requirements
- Track and manage submission of documents that incoming corps members must submit to certification partners and school districts
Communications and Operations (5%)
- Implement our regional corps member communication systems including email blasts and maintenance of the corps member site
- Manage and ensure accuracy of all district and principal data in TFACT
- Manage logistics of all recruitment/confirmation/onboarding related events

- Preference on previous experience working in educational settings in the Rio Grande Valley
