Under the guidance and supervision of the Trout Lodge Lead Program Director, Trout Lodge Program Director and Assistant Program Director, the Trout Lodge Program Specialist will be responsible for the planning, implementation, provision and evaluation of guest programs for the YMCA of the Ozarks while exemplifying the Y values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility and Faith.

Programs specialists will work closely with children and families leading activities in areas such as archery, riflery, arts and crafts, geocaching, rocket building, nature hikes, cave excursions, pontoon tours, basketball, volleyball, face painting and much more. They will also lead campfires and special evening programs. Program specialists will not live with campers.

Educational Background: 
Requires High School diploma, some college preferred. Previous experience in camp, resort or outdoor skills programming preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Position requires strong skills in: time management, human relations and customer service.
  • Must be computer literate and possess a positive, can do attitude with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Requires good judgment, management and organizational skills.
  • Candidate must know how to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, create programs and problem solve.
