Under the supervision of the Trout Lodge Programs Director, the Adult Program Director is responsible for creating, implementing, scheduling, and staffing senior programs including Road Scholar, Adult Enrichment Programs, Women’s Wellness and Adult specialty groups. He/She is responsible for budget, programs, and other duties as deemed appropriate and or necessary. He/She will also serve as the medial coordinator for Trout Lodge. He/She will model, practice and carry out the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of the position.
Supervise all aspects of Road Scholar, Adult Enrichment Programs, Women’s Wellness, and adult specialty group programs.
- Understand and adhere to all Road Scholar policies and guidelines.
- Plan and develop senior group programs
- Maintain Road Scholar Standards for quality education.
- Recruit, develop, organize and supervise Host Program volunteers.
- Develop and update Host Program Manual
- Contribute to advertising composition for senior/specialty group programs.
- Ensure adequate marketing of senior/specialty group programs.
- Organize and compile group program schedules and packets.
- Collect and compile program evaluations.
- Support Trout Lodge programming on non-adult program weeks.
- Coordinate and facilitate all Women’s Wellness programs
- Must stay within budgetary guidelines for expenses in relation to program and instructor fees.
- Responsible for all correspondence related to Road Scholar, Adult Programs, Women’s Wellness and specialty groups.
- Supervise on and off-site senior programs: group orientation, adequate host communication, and available support for problem solving.
- Attend the weekly service schedule meeting to work out logistics with all departments.
- Coordinate group logistics and disseminate program details in a timely manner to appropriate directors and department heads.
- Coordinate with the Program Director for services provided to senior/specialty groups
- Develop new programs
- Take RMOD (Manager on Duty) shifts for the YMCA Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood as assigned.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.
- Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and the ability to plan, execute and evaluate programs and especially comfortable working with seniors and the wide range of ages, faiths and races that make up the Trout Lodge guest and volunteer population.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to walk, stand and sit (including on the floor) for long periods of time.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds in weight, waist high.
- Ability to stand or sit while maintaining alertness for several hours at a time.
- Position may require bending, leaning, kneeling, climbing, stooping and walking.
- Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate.
- Must have the physical dexterity to use telephone, computer, electronic equipment, exercise equipment, tools and office machinery.
- Ability to drive a YMCA vehicle.
- Ability to view/enter data for long periods of time.
Salary: $35,200.00
