The Member Engagement Coordinator is the resource, policy and accuracy specialist of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington association membership department. This role delivers the YMCA mission by maintaining and upholding standards related to our policies and record keeping, billing, data management, and staff training. This person will support collaboration between Membership, Finance, IT and Development. Key deliverables will include transactional data entry related to our point of enrollment donation procedure, the reporting affiliated with our 3rd party membership organizations, and maintaining enhanced training and key resources for our Membership Directors on our Membership Y drive.
- A successful candidate will possess a team-mentality and will thrive on being a back-end support that moves a diverse number of programs and services forward. The Member Experience Coordinator, reporting to the Association Director of Member Engagement, will support the membership departments of our 6 full service branches with critical back-end support related to our data management and reporting functionality. This person will be responsible for executing regular, standardized audits of membership transactions, as well as reconciliation of Community Impact at Point of Enrollment transactions. This role will also curate and maintain a resource drive that houses updated training materials, Standard Operating Procedures, and internal Best practice manuals which support our team’s staff development. Complex data entry work will be required in managing key membership 3rd party relationships such as AARP, AETNA, United Healthcare, and others.
- A successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, as collaboration with various departments within the organization (such as Finance, Business services, IT, HR and other core service programs such as Youth Development, Wellness and others) will be key to success.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Powerpoint is a plus.
- A minimum of one year experience working as a YMCA Member Service Coordinator or three years related experience working in membership sales/service is necessary.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills; A track record of demonstrating initiative, enthusiasm & common sense/good judgement; Talent for guiding, counseling, coordinating & reviewing staff work (supervision/staff development); Ability to manage and prioritize projects and tasks with competing deadlines; Dedication to thorough follow-through, and excellent communication skills.
- PC and database management skills with the ability to perform repetitive data entry duties.
Hourly: $15.00 - $18.00
