To monitor and perform assigned duties in the Wellness Center ensuring our members are safe, satisfied, educated and supported. Position is Monday-Friday 5am-1pm.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Create and maintain monthly scheduling for Wellness Center staff, with cooperation and approval of the Program Specialist. Includes day-to-day management of coverage as needed Monday-Friday.
  • Responsible for RSG material; keeping it current and managing content.
  • Responsible for RSG schedule; making sure that it is organized and the schedule is free of errors.
  • In cooperation with the Program Specialist, train both current and new staff members on RSG program and shift specific floor responsibilities.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing new secondary wellness programs and incentive programs
  • Greet members upon arrival
  • Ready Set Go initial appointments and follow-ups
  • Weigh Brass City Meltdown participants
  • Conducting Polar Body Age assessments
  • Help establish client goals
  • Conduct Freemotion machine orientation
  • Make confirmation calls to program members
  • Record and document information
  • Wash and replace towels and fill spray bottles
  • Conduct daily functionality checks of cardio equipment according to schedule, log appropriately all needed repairs or issues.
  • Keep the Wellness Center clean
  • Organize equipment in free weight area
  • Enforce the facility rules
  • Ensure the safety of the Wellness Center and adherence to the YMCA code of conduct at all times.
  • Fulfill member needs, concerns and problems
  • Be aware of and follow all Emergency procedures
  • Follow and promote the YMCA Philosophy
  • Explain/refer clients into the Personal Training Program
Skills/Experience: 
  • Have a passion for working with people and assisting them with goal attainment. The successful candidate will be dedicated, self-motivated, and energetic, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Is customer focused and must adapt to people’s moods and personalities.
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be “at your best” with each member and program participant.
  • The candidate must also be CPR/AED certified within the first 3 months of hire.
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Hourly: $11.50 - $12.00
