This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Coordinates business and accounting functions of the childcare departments such as invoicing, collections, data entry, and reporting.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Preparation of Sign-in/out sheets, Attendance sheets and Meal Count sheets.
- Enter registrations in Daxko.
- Gather weekly/monthly reports from off-site locations.
- Review weekly attendance reports and discuss exceptions or late pick-ups with Childcare Director. Enter new registrations and/or applicable late fees.
- Send invoice statements (includes email and printed copies)-frequency will be determined.
- Review attendance reports and submit to CCIS via on-line state system.
- Prepare invoices for corporations that pay childcare fees for their employees.
- Contact parents that are behind in payments. If applicable discuss results with Childcare Director.
- Enter CCIS payments in Daxko and adjust remaining balances as needed.
- Prepare and send year-end tax statements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Minimum Associates Degree and/or 3 years experience in a business related field.
Skills/Experience:
- Service orientation, strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Accounts receivable and billing experience required.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of
the community.
Compensation/Benefits:
Hourly: $11.00 - $13.00
