The Digital Operations Manager leads medium scale, complex business–critical projects on behalf of TNC’s Membership department to advance TNC’s revenue goals in digital fundraising, using an systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Digital Operations Manager primarily integrates technology strategies and solutions that enable TNC’s digital fundraising programs by managing the relevant systems development life cycle (SDLC).  Other fundraising programs may also be supported by this position as needed.

  • S/he documents and manages business process flows related to digital fundraising operations.
  • S/he dives deep into the business requirements and engages in projects ranging from the formulation and analysis of business, process and organizational strategies through the implementation of recommendations.
  • S/he establishes project goals and success factors, develops project plans, and schedules with input and buy-in from key stakeholders and team members, and leads the project teams to successfully achieve those goals in the most cost-effective and time-saving manner possible.
  • Throughout the project lifecycle, the Digital Operations Manager monitors and measures project progress, conducts corrective action as necessary communicates project status information to all stakeholders, performs risk management, issue resolution and conflict management, and controls project scope and quality. 
  • S/he ensures coordination between multiple TNC departments, TNC partners, vendors and volunteers. S/he obtains go/no-go decisions at all project decision points. 
  • S/he develops and enhances methodologies, processes and standards, creates templates, and researches and incorporates industry best practices as appropriate for TNC Membership.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

  • Develop and deliver a project management program encompassing all the details of a project to the team members
  • Set deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal groups and outside consultants, supervise process and maintain integrity of organizational technology standards.
  • Effectively manage project budgets.
  • Effectively communicate, evaluate and manage user requirements
  • Participate in negotiations for complex and/or sensitive agreements.
  • Well versed in industry best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC’s organization and culture.
  • Ability to work under stress during peak workload periods.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, and 3 years of progressive experience in an IT environment, including project management experience, or equivalent combination.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience using project management techniques and tools including office tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience managing a project team and the planning and managing aspects of medium term projects.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience with systems strategy, evaluation, configuration, and/or integration of Marketing Technology (MarTech) systems and processes.
  • Experience with digital marketing or digital advertising operational processes and media technologies.  This may include Customer Data Platforms (CDP), Data Management Platforms (DMP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM),Demand Side Platform (DSP) segmentation, multi-channel campaign measurement and ad targeting channels.
  • Experience with Pixel Placement/Management and Journey Automation.
  • Experience using project management techniques and tools including office tools such as the Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience managing a project team and the planning and managing aspects of medium term projects.
  • Demonstrated experience across multiple system implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with an SDLC methodology that covers requirements analysis, development and delivery.
  • Experience with cross platforms like Adobe Campaign, SalesForce, Redpoint, Sailthru, Appboy or Exacttarget is a plus.
  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross cultural experience appreciated.
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • Effectively communicates via presentations, conservations and documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex medium projects in a large, decentralized organization. 
  • Strong dedication to the development of customer-centric standards and solutions.
  • Well versed in industry and Subject Matter best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC’s organization and culture.
  • Critical thinker with demonstrated problem-solving skills. Results driven.
  • Experience working with budgets and/or producing cost/benefit and risk analyses.
