The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Web Services Manager manages the WWP web services operations including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of WWP’s web systems, including the public website, intranet, and other applicable websites.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manage architecture, definition, and delivery of websites and supporting platforms.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of WWP web systems.
- Ensure websites adhere to security and compliance requirements.
- Manage IT Web Services team including resource allocation and staffing to meet business needs and project demands.
- Monitor and troubleshoot website performance and availability.
- Analyze existing web operations, recommend improvements, and ensure deployment.
- Work with vendors as necessary to fix technical problems and develop new applications.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors.
- Supervise, coach, and develop IT Services teammates’ individual performance. Drive accountability to achieve organization and individual goals.
- Conduct research and remain current with the latest web technologies and capabilities.
- Develop roadmap and strategic plan for websites and associated platforms.
- Develop business case justifications and perform cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
- Lead web planning and projects.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new web technology implementations.
- Manage web services operations-related reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with teams, e.g., Marketing, Communications, IT Infrastructure, and IT Security to ensure alignment.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related business field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding of web programming, e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET, APIs.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365 cloud solutions.
- Working knowledge of analytics and tracking platforms, e.g., Google Analytics, SEO.
- Project management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity.
- Strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills and analytical skills in problem solving.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Three years of experience managing a web services team.
- Six years of experience working with web systems or web services.
Preferences
- Three years of experience working with content management systems, i.e., Umbraco.
- Three years of experience with intranet platforms, e.g., Microsoft SharePoint.
- Three years of experience working with content delivery networks and web security platforms, e.g., Akamai.
- Three years of experience working with cloud hosting providers, e.g., Microsoft Azure.
Certifications & Licensure
- Technology certifications for Microsoft products and services, ITIL, project management preferred.
