We are currently seeking a dedicated, passionate and cause driven leader for the following role:

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Administers activities related to the department. Creates program curriculum.
  • Supervises and trains department staff.
  • Maintains the state preschool license and required documents for operation.
  • Leads classes and programs and participates in department activities as needed.
  • Processes incoming program registration and follows up on parent inquires via voicemail, email, fax and/or in person within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Maintains accurate records; prepares and submits reports as requested by supervisor and in a timely manner.
  • Assists in tracking all program invoices and confirms vendor-based field trips. Collects outstanding balances and tracks program enrollment.
  • Reviews and evaluates the enrollment, programs and services of department and communicates findings to the Director.
  • Reviews effectiveness of employed personnel; observes individual performance and appraises effectiveness.
  • Promotes and implements character development in all curriculum, training and supervision.
  • Builds and maintains a high standard of customer service satisfaction for all members.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 15 units in ECE and/or two years related experience and/or training.

TRAININGS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • TB test/ Sheriffs card for both Las Vegas and North Las Vegas prior to employment. American Red Cross CPR, AED and First Aid. The following courses must be completed within 30 days of hire: Blood borne Pathogens, Signs and Symptoms of Illness, Reporting and Recognizing Child Abuse & Neglect, 3 hours of Child Development, 2 hours of Health & Wellness, and apply for Nevada Registry.
  • Working with Children within 30 days of hire date
  • Staff are to attend all Preschool trainings and in-services required by Supervisor

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Strong skills in: communication, leadership, judgment, and creativity.
  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
  • Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate management techniques.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $14.00 - $18.00
