Serves as a member of the AARP Driver Safety Program team responsible for leading program management, strategy, design, development and implementation for current and new programs (i.e. programs focused on driving mobility and driver education forward through – equipping older drivers with tools, skills, and information to help them stay engaged and mobile longer by driving more safely or equipping them with tools to get around). Currently will have oversight, management and provide enhancements for current programs, AARP Driver Safety’s CarFit and WNTT programs and will lead efforts on pilots and future programs (i.e., Ride sourcing).
- Responsible for developing, managing and advising on annual program plans focused increasing member value, and further scalability or lives impacted. Manages program enhancements, research and new business opportunities to help improve programs to meet required growth and dashboard targets; i.e. additional delivery methods, additional products, and cross promotion of products.
- Identifies multicultural opportunities within current products and new products to be developed to increase awareness and participation among multicultural and diverse communities, i.e. African American, Hispanic, Asian.
- Identifies and implements new ways to leverage online to deliver current and future ADS programs and services.
- Manages and leads pro-active, innovative and effective working groups and strategies working internally and externally focused on growing and launching new programs.
- Responsible for ongoing partnership development with current program partners and for developing strategic relationships with organizations with similar interests.
- Responsible for management and oversight of budgets related to product vendors, volunteer oversight and revenue growth through current and future programs managed.
- Exhibit AARP values in all interactions.
- Three + years of program management, design, development and implementation and management experience of vendors and partners.
- A passion for and understanding of learning technologies.
- Knowledge and experience in building an educational experience, with particular knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Experience in developing strategic plans, project management, and market research.
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of identifying and delivering products and services to drive growth and revenue.
- Demonstrated experience in high-level representation and serving as a liaison with organizational relationships inside and outside AARP to achieve maximum success. Requires superior written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and partnership development skills.
- Requires a high degree of multi-tasking and tracking, as well as analytical skills.
- Demonstrative ability to think creatively is well connected, strategic and resourceful.
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
