Incumbent will have a vital role in analyzing and coding data and assisting with advanced analysis and report creation. As the position progresses, this person will be responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting on primary and secondary market research projects.
The Market Research Junior Analyst will be assisting the Business Intelligence team in conducting primary market research projects including designing surveys, programming, analyzing data, creating reports and presenting results. In addition, in this role they will be responsible for cleaning and analyzing data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in designing, developing, fielding, analyzing and reporting on primary market research as well as secondary market research.
- Analyze text survey responses, create a code frame and code responses from multiple surveys while uncovering valuable insights.
- Assist in the management of large, national research projects.
- Assist in scaling projects so that they can be replicated quickly.
- Project management of multiple, concurrently running projects.
- Managing the collection, organization, analysis and reporting out on information to be other internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- No formal work experience required however 3 or more months working with Y-Related data sets via Y Intern a plus.
- Prior experience (3 months or greater) working in a business setting, preferably within a research-oriented role (min. intern level 6 months or greater).
- Three months or more experience working with and understanding survey design and analyzing response type information.
- Fundamental working knowledge of sample design as it relates to data analysis, basic statistics and how to interpret information to derive actionable insights.
- Advanced level skills in Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform tedious tasks without losing sight of the big picture.
- Ability to learn new skills and software.
- Desired but not required: SPSS/SAS/R/Python, WinCross, Microsoft Publisher, SharePoint.
- Experience with using survey software tools such as Qualtrics or Survey Monkey.
- Must be customer focused, coupling strategic focus with strong execution skills.
- Must be results oriented.
- Must possess excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex processes.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication/presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience taking part in project with minimal direction and ask questions along the way.
- Any classes or Certifications in statistics or predictive modeling highly desirable.
Salary: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00
