The YMCA of Central Florida has an exciting new opportunity for an Email Marketing Specialist. The incumbent will be based onsite at our corporate / Association office located in Downtown, Orlando. Under the leadership and direction of the Digital Marketing Director, this individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production of email marketing campaigns and marketing automation across the enterprise, analyze member behavior to implement marketing strategies, and take lead in cross-functional projects to ensure our email program scales effectively with company growth.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Own daily design, coding, proofing, scheduling, delivery and reporting of marketing campaigns. 
  • Validate email functionality and appearance across browsers and platforms.
  • Convert and consolidate existing email campaigns on various platforms into a single delivery system.
  • Develop customer journeys, building and updating email templates in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to improve member communication and conversion of new leads.
  • Drive cross-functional marketing initiatives with Marketing, Operations and Family Center teams to improve lead management and member retention.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Manager, Graphic Designer, Content Specialist and other cross-functional teams. 
  • Uphold established tones and brand standards within platform.
  • Monitor performance of campaigns and use member behavior to make recommendations for tests and share ideas for improvement.
  • Influence marketing/brand strategy and develop new email ideas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Operations, Family Centers and partners to oversee localization of assets needed to support campaigns.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of email marketing best practices, staying aware of industry trends and challenges.
Educational Background: 
BS degree in Business, Communication, Marketing/Advertising, Digital/Graphic Design, Web Development or relevant field preferred. Or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 1-3 years email marketing experience with demonstrated success creating and implementing effective email campaigns with email systems like Mail Chimp, Constant Contact, Lyris desired. Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget preferred. 
  • Experience with building scalable, broad reach email acquisition partnerships & programs, while assisting on-boarding programs to maximize engagement.
  • Experience managing multi-channel campaigns for multi-location organization.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) and email design is preferred.
  • Understand the nature of email design, delivery, CAN SPAM and analytics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
