The Associate, Development Operations will provide best in class operations and administrative support for the region, with a focus on supporting AmeriCorps, state funding, and development operations. The Associate, Development Operations will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, customer service, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The associate will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This individual must possess outstanding poise and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a variety of audiences including corps members, alumni, district personnel, high-level funders, and Teach For America senior staff. The Associate, Development Operations reports to the MD, Chief of Staff.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Development Operations (55%)
- Leads data & information management of development in centralized systems
- Conducts prospect research for potential funders
- Leads operational support for all development events including planning and execution
- Supports with grant writing by collecting stories of impact and data, as well as writing first drafts
- Completes all gift processing and acknowledgment steps
- Supports in creating development collateral for meetings and events
- Supports Executive Director and Head of Development in meeting preparation
- Logistical support for development team (travel booking, room-scheduling, food if needed, technology, minutes)
AmeriCorps (20%)
- Leads all AmeriCorps training and ensures accurate records, documentation, and completion of paperwork & requirements for AmeriCorps.
- Partners with other staff to manage AmeriCorps partnership and provides data and stories of impact needed for grants. Ensures we meet all expectations and deadlines of our AmeriCorps Grant
- Builds relationship with the commission and the Oklahoma City team to ensure smooth operations and execution of AmeriCorps
- Becomes expert in AmeriCorps benefits and responsibilities to support corps members and staff
State Funding (15%)
- Provides operational support for all state funding events
- Supports in creating state funding collateral for meetings and events
- Supports Executive Director and Head of Development in meeting preparation
- Logistical support for state funding (travel booking, room-scheduling, food if needed, technology, minutes, calling legislators)
Team responsibilities (10%)
- Provides “light support” with ops items-office management (i.e. reception, phones, office supplies, office walkthroughs)
- Drives discrete projects to support the Greater Tulsa region in reaching ambitious goals.
- Participate as a member of the regional Talent & Operations Team
- Participate in all staff regional commitments (e.g., selection, matriculation, All Corps Conferences, team meetings)
- Two years of work experience preferred
- Operations or administrative experience is highly preferred
- Development/fundraising experience is preferred
- Proven ability, via work history, to build and execute a project plan and organize, prioritize, track and manage workflow from multiple streams

Work Demands
- Ability to travel to in-person meetings in various U.S. cities [1-2 times/year].
- Ability to travel independently to multiple locations for work each day that may be significant distances from one another and store/bring items to those locations.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 20 pounds for work purposes.
- Occasional weekend or evening work is required.
