  • The Senior Associate, Recruitment Staff Headhunting will identify and connect with a diverse pool of highly qualified individuals for roles on the recruitment team. You will manage key processes including sourcing prospects, networking with influencers, reviewing candidate applications and tracking pipeline and campaign success.
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong strategic thinking abilities, an ability to prioritize, exemplary attention to detail, an enthusiasm for working behind the scenes, strong writing skills, and has demonstrated an ability to achieve ambitious goals. In addition, the candidate should be excited about operating in a fast-paced environment, finding new ways to identify talent and want to help ensure that we have an outstanding and diverse staff.
  • This role will report to the Managing Director, Talent Strategy and SystemsSetting Vision and Direction
Areas of Responsibility: 

Setting Vision and Direction

  • Design connect strategy for Recruitment Team roles; Devising sourcing plans designed to attract top-notch, diverse and mission-aligned talent
  • Ensure team meets sourcing goals through direct execution of sourcing and managing others to sourcing outcomes.

Communicating Effectively with Others

  • Tailor written communication appropriately based on audience and write clearly, concisely and convincingly using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Develop communication templates, case studies on best practices, and other analyses.
  • Source’ (identify and track) diverse and competitive seniors and/or professionals as potential recruiters by conducting research and using professional networks.
  • Support and collaborate with Director of Headhunting to devise and execute strategies to engage potential applicants and drive interest in applying to the Recruitment Team.

Building Relationships and Networks

  • Reach sourcing goal for pipeline of seniors and/or professionals alongside Director of Headhunting, with specific objective of increasing diversity and competitiveness of applicants.
  • Work in partnership with Talent Team to connect with top prospects through “cold” and “warm” prospect strategies.

Reasoning and Strategic Thinking

  • Reviewing staff applications to determine which candidates to move forward in the staff application process
  • Manage data entry and maintain data accuracy. Communicate quantitative recruitment data using Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with teammates to analyze data, identifying problems and opportunities, and developing aligned solutions to drive campaign effectiveness

Operating, Planning and Executing:

  • Lead or support (depending on context) the design and execution of a plan for reaching goals by prioritizing, sequencing and distributing the work among the team.
  • Balance multiple projects at once, leveraging the use of internal resources and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Provide logistical coordination for recruitment events, information sessions and interview days
  • Manage execution of intern hiring and support field teams in the process
  • Review prospective corps members’ applications and participate in corps member interview and selection processes
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree required
Skills/Experience: 
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience
  • Teach For America Recruitment Team experience preferred
  • Experience working with database programs and software preferred (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Salesforce)
