Campus Campaign Coordinators, or CCCs, enhance Teach For America’s campus recruitment efforts by managing Teach For America’s brand and building a high quality pipeline of future corps members. CCCs elevate and maintain Teach For America’s presence on campus through marketing and social media efforts, awareness building campaigns and events, and identifying competitive students who would be strong candidates to join Teach For America’s corps. Working in partnership with Teach For America’s full time recruitment staff and Ambassadors, CCCs use their strong communication, marketing, research, and problem solving skills to reach ambitious goals and maximize our ability to recruit a strong corps.  CCCs report to a full time Teach For America Recruitment Team staff member, and must be able to commit to working 5-15 hours a week on a consistent basis with greater availability during peak periods throughout the recruitment season.

The Campus Campaign Coordinator role is ideal for students with an interest or prior experience in marketing, recruitment, communications, nonprofit organizations, and social justice. CCCs develop valuable skills in event planning and management, physical and social media marketing, and professional communication. CCCs will also develop a foundational knowledge of Salesforce, a widely used client relationship management application used across the private and nonprofit sectors.

The Teach For America Recruitment Team works to enlist this country’s most promising future leaders in the movement to eliminate educational inequity. The team identifies and inspires thousands of potential corps members on college campuses and from multiple career sectors to apply to and join Teach For America. Additionally, the team is responsible for meeting our ambitious goals for the growth and diversity of our corps along racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic lines.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Identifying top students and organizations on campus throughout the year, in some situations communicating by email, phone, or social media
  • Scheduling Teach For America class and student organization presentations for others throughout the year
  • Strategic data gathering, input, and management in Salesforce to improve our outreach and recruitment efforts
  • Managing and executing a high-visibility marketing, publicity, and social media campaign to ensure Teach For America maintains a strong presence on campus, which may include hanging posters and flyers; tabling in high-traffic areas; executing effective email campaigns; and securing media coverage in campus publications, on websites, and on campus radio stations
  • Planning, advertising, and executing highly-attended events on campus
Educational Background: 
Must be an undergraduate student at a college or university with available positions

Qualifications: Work Demands

  • Ability to work a minimum of 5-15 hours a week (depending on campus) on a consistent basis, with greater availability during peak periods throughout the 2017-2018 recruitment season
  • Must be able to attend weekly team meetings and check-ins with manager

Compensation/Benefits: 

Benefits and Salary: CCCs will be paid hourly at the state minimum wage.
