The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - the world's leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis, and one of the most innovative and successful organizations of its kind - is seeking an Email Marketing Manager.
A nonprofit, donor-supported organization, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis (CF), a life-threatening genetic disease that primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. Established in 1955 as the National Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation (NCFRF) by parents and families of CF patients, the Foundation now consists of 700+ employees, a nationwide network of 120 care centers and best-in class research centers, as well as 54 local chapters (over 70 offices) that strive to fund lifesaving research and provide access to quality, specialized care and effective treatments for people with CF.
The Email Marketing Manager reports to the senior manager of engagement communications and helps coordinate the Foundation’s national email communication program. The email manager develops email campaigns to support key programmatic initiatives, promote greater involvement with the organization, and drive action for advocacy and fundraising campaigns.
- Coordinating all aspects of the Foundation’s national email marketing program, including: planning email campaigns; developing email content; writing and editing copy; managing design and production; and disseminating emails.
- Collaborating with the digital communications team and key Foundation stakeholders including research, medical, public policy, community partnerships, and fundraising program directors, to coordinate a range of online marketing and communications initiatives.
- Leading continuous advancement of the Foundation’s email features and capabilities including targeting, personalization, and template development in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Championing efforts to increase volunteer stewardship though improving use and availability of preferences, content differentiation, and growing the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) program.
- Tracking and compiling performance analytics and developing reports for program directors and senior leadership.
- Managing all aspects of the Foundation’s relationship with the email marketing vendor, including but not limited to contract renewals, platform updates, and day-to-day maintenance.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Experience with EMMA or similar email software, advocacy software such as Phone2Action, and HTML; design skills preferred.
- High level of professionalism and strong communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
