The Human Resource Specialist is a key position within the Human Resource function for the Sarasota Family YMCA. Providing oversight and management of association-wide recruitment. Responsible for establishing and managing association-wide training and development. Working closely with the Human Resource Team, Association and Branch Leadership will work to implement Y-USA Cause Driven Leadership, talent management, member engagement and staff onboarding. May deliver training covering a wide variety of topics, developing curriculums and assessing the use of training vendors.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Oversight and responsibility for association-wide recruitment providing guidance and direction to managers/supervisors in the selection and placement of staff.
- Writes, reviews and approves job descriptions.
- Delivers instruction and training covering a wide-range of topics, develops curriculum and reviews use of vendors for training.
- Directs and manages Y-USA's Cause Driven Leadership Model to support individual and association development
- Attain Y-USA training certifications as needed
- Provides management and oversight to performance amangement program and process
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Educational Background:
Bachelors Degree preferred, 3-5 years YMCA management/supervisory experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Prior experience developing and implementing training programs for various populations.
- Ability to obtain Y-USA Training Certifications.
- Knowledge and experience in recruitment. Training and facilitation experience.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00
