Alz.org is a critical component in raising concern and awareness of Alzheimer's disease and the Alzheimer's Association and the first resource for many facing Alzheimer's disease. The Specialist, CMS Operations will support 150+ Chapter CMS users across the Alzheimer's Association chapter network aiding them in their digital ability to meet strategic goals. This role will also assist in maturation of the Association web suite, providing development support for new and expanding initiatives across the Association.

This position is based at the Association's Home Office in downtown Chicago, IL and reports to the Manager, CMS Operations.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Provides Chapter support via phone or email in using Kentico CMS
  • Assists in continuing education and training for Chapter CMS editors
  • Contributes feedback on feature set requests from daily users
  • Updates Home Office content
  • Develops reusable modules accessible to all CMS users
  • Provides daily support to Kentico CMS users
  • Assists in development of Kentico front end functionality
  • Aids CMS Operations Manager in training and support via process
  • documentation, scheduling trainings, etc.
  • Conducts Home Office content updates.
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in information technology, marketing, communications or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • 1-3 years' progressive experience in maintaining enterprise level website(s)
  • 1-3 years' experience using Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • 1-3 years' experience with front-end web development (HTML, JS, CSS)
  • Proficient with Kentico CMS, including providing verbal and written support to end users with varying skill levels
  • Ability to track and respond to customer service requests
  • Experience working with non-profits a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with a variety of staff, including management
  • Ability to think strategically and critically and relate business goals to technology solutions
  • Flexibility to respond appropriately to opportunities, challenges, and changing environments
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Self-motivated, highly-organized self-starter with great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a focus on achieving goals
  • Ability and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for the job
