The Operations Assistant is a full-time position based in Concord, New Hampshire and reports to the Director of Operations. S/he is a key member of the Operations and Philanthropy Teams and provides a full range of administrative support to the New Hampshire Chapter, including the Executive Director. The position requires frequent contact with all levels of TNC staff, vendors, donors and the public.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Operations: The Operations Assistant performs various administrative tasks including: purchasing, processing accounts payable, facilities management, maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, working with vendors, greeting and assisting visitors, answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, and ensuring that office common areas are clean and orderly. The Assistant will aid with logistics of staff and trustee related meetings including securing locations, handling room set-up, arranging for meals, collecting agenda topics, gathering and sending pre-meeting materials, and assisting with follow-up. S/he may handle inquiries about program activities. S/he will use available systems and resources to maintain and track data and produce reports as needed or assigned by The Director of Operations and will provide other staff with information they need to make decisions and solve problems.
  • Philanthropy: The Operations Assistant also serves as a member of the New Hampshire Philanthropy Team and is responsible various activities, including processing and recording gifts, sending correspondence and acknowledgements, and assisting with the planning and logistics for donor and fundraising events, including our Board of Trustee meetings.  
  • Executive Support: The Operations Assistant provides executive support to the State Director, and is responsible for a variety of associated administrative support tasks which may include travel arrangements, calendar management, timesheet reporting, processing expenses, and assisting with the scheduling and logistics of meetings and special events.
