Ideal candidates will have a strong track record of YMCA experience including leading multiple program areas; hiring, directing, and motivating staff; building relationships with members, volunteers, and community leaders; developing and adhering to a budget; and providing staff support for annual support campaigns. Position will supervise assigned areas, including all programs. Position participates in strategic leadership and development and direction of member engagement strategies, and provide staff support for assigned board committees.
Located 30 minutes from Madison, Wisconsin, the YMCA of Dodge County has a $2.7 million budget, an annual campaign goal of $110,000, and operates in a 10-year-old 65,000 square foot facility with the region's finest indoor water park. The Y has a strong full-service child care center at the main facility and five before/after school sites located throughout the county. Programs are also driven by strong aquatic programs that includes operating five community aquatic centers.
- Establishes with the leadership team long range plans for the expansion of programs and services, in harmony with overall YMCA objectives.
- Provides staff support for assigned committees.
- Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Recruits, hires, trains, develops and directs employees and volunteers. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submits reports on current operations.
- Serves as a member of YMCA leadership team and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA.
- Three or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency.
- Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
- Requirements within 60 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse; CPR; First Aid; AED; and orientation.
Salary: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00
