As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner directly with an executive responsible for leading a portfolio of Teach for America’s regional teams and regional team leaders to ensure that their finance-related analytical needs are handled in a thorough, accurate, actionable, and timely manner. You will drive the annual planning and monthly financial review processes, prioritize areas of risk and opportunity, initiate relevant discussions with key leaders, and coordinate cross-functional projects as necessary. The position requires strong customer-orientation, a flexible and entrepreneurial approach to solving problems, and a focus on delivering accurate and actionable analysis.
The Senior Financial Analyst can expect to gain a deep understanding of Teach For America’s economic model and financial management practices. S/he will learn about the annual activities of her/his client teams and will build strong relationships with team members across the organization.
- Serve as the overall and primary lead on financial support for a senior executive leading a portfolio of Teach For America’s regions
- Partner directly with executive leaders and their teams to provide forward-looking projections and inform strategic decision making
- Partner with regional team leaders and staff on the annual planning and monthly financial review processes
- Perform advanced contextual analysis in support of the development, implementation, and execution of regional financial management priorities
- Four + years analytical work experience, FP&A experience strongly preferred
- A record of successfully planning and coordinating projects across a diverse group of stakeholders
- Strong experience independently creating complex and dynamic analyses/models
