Coordinator, Program Evaluation (Early Childhood Equity)

The Coordinator, Program Evaluation (Early Childhood Equity) will conduct and support research and evaluation activities associated with YMCA of the USA’s Early Childhood Equity Improvement (ECEI) Project. The responsibilities will consist of supporting data collection, analysis, and use, and project documentation to ensure the evaluation data is used to promote early childhood equity across the YMCA Network.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Creates, updates, and organizes evaluation project documentation
  • Contributes to written evaluation reports, trainings, and presentations
  • Assists with literature reviews, data collection processes and online systems, data analysis, and related research
  • Supports participating YMCAs via email, telephone, webinar, and in-person communication
  • Participates in meetings and completes related projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Senior Research Analyst, Early Childhood Equity
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is preferred. Concentration in Education, Child Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Research Statistics or a similar field is preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum 3 years of program evaluation experience is required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis required
  • Experience collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and reporting evaluation data is required
  • Experience creating evaluation project documentation (project plans, trainings, reports, etc.) is required
  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts is required
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills are required
  • Experience with SPSS is required
  • Familiarity with early childhood quality assessments (CLASS, ECERS/ITERS) preferred
  • Expertise in youth development, early childhood, and promoting equity in low-income communities is strongly preferred
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time is required
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer service skills are required
  • Ability to work and reason independently, as well as work within a team is required
  • Experience working for a YMCA/nonprofit/networked type of organization is preferred
  • Commitment to the YMCA character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is required
Compensation/Benefits: 

$58,000.00 - $62,000.00
