Under the direction of the Director Early Stage Services, the Early Stage Program Coordinator develops and maintains programs and engagement opportunities for early stage individuals and their family members, and develops web based educational opportunities. This position is located in the Lafayette, California office.
- Develop and maintain all Bay Area early stage education programs
- Recruit and clinically screen patients with early stage dementia for programs • Work with community partners to deliver Living with Alzheimer's: Early Stage Programs and other workshops designed for persons with early stage memory loss
- Coordinate and implement annual Early Stage Forum
- Work with early stage support group facilitators to provide opportunities for early stage individuals to educate others
- Provide ongoing support and consultation with designated early stage liaisons from entire Chapter territory to support early stage strategic initiatives
- Develop web based education programs - work with early stage individuals, family members and professionals to identify topics and content
- Create and maintain early stage engagement listings in Personify CRM database
- Develop and maintain early stage engagement opportunities
- Recruit and clinically screen new members for engagement programs
- Recruit, train and support volunteers of Peer to Peer Outreach Program; provide clinical supervision to Peer to Peer volunteers; and facilitate quarterly discussion meetings
- Develop and maintain current relationships with art museum tour programs
- Develop new models for early stage engagement to meet the diverse needs of the community
- Provide training on early stage programs to engagement partners and volunteers
- Help arrange and support early stage speakers for educational and development events
- Acts as initial/primary point of contact for Bay Area early stage callers/families/professionals seeking early stage services through the Helpline
- Create and maintains clear line of communication with Helpline volunteers, staff, other potential referral sources for early stage services
- Create a seamless referral process to other bay area early stage programs
- Support overall chapter strategic objectives
- Assist in compilation of reporting documents for statistics
- Manage/Update Power+Purpose website calendar
- Facilitate and oversee Personify database tasks for Early Stage Program
- Ensure timely completion and collection of program reporting documents, including daily interactions in Personify to meet standards

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Familiar with dementia services, care-giving issues, difficult behaviors, latest research, and the role of education, public policy, and technology in the future of dementia care
- Experience working with culturally and ethnically diverse communities
- Strong public speaking skills
- Ability to multitask
- Computer skills: MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and data entry experience required
- Spanish language skills desired
