AARP’s Campaign Outreach team is searching for a strong intern to join their busy team.  If you’d like to develop strong skills while contributing to AARP’s mission, apply to this intern opportunity today.  This is a paid, year-round opportunity that is available for juniors and seniors.  

Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides assistance to the Campaign Outreach team, with a special focus on campaign outreach collateral and employee communications support: 

  • Draft, edit and design campaign materials for earned media and grassroots activities. Campaigns include: Financial Security, Fraud Watch Network, Health Care and Utilities;
  • Assist with creation and implementation of employee communications editorial calendar for all campaigns;
  • Compile weekly campaign collateral inventory reports and various weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Responsible for maintaining stock for field office use.
  • Assist onsite at Campaigns events in DC, as necessary.
Educational Background: 
Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors.   
Skills/Experience: 
  • AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. 
  • This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
