The Guest Registration General Manager oversees the smooth and efficient business operation of the Guest Registration Desk, with a high priority on guest service, and manages and trains Guest Registration year-round and seasonal staff. Preferably looking for applicants to start on May 11, 2018.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and discipline Guest Registration Desk Managers, Switchboard
  • Supervisor, and Guest Registration seasonal staff and volunteers, including Lodge Hosts and
  • Information Desk Attendants
  • Oversee the General Store, Rustic Café (shared responsibility with Food Service) and the Post Office.
  • Supervise the General Store/Rustic Café Manager and the Postmaster.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork (such as Personnel Action Forms, staff evaluations, and disciplinary actions) and communicate with Human Resources to maintain accurate staff information Work day and evening shifts as necessary to ensure that all department procedures are being followed and to be available for all employees
  • Create weekly schedules for Guest Registration staff according to guest needs and staffing levels
  • Review staffing hours and check for accuracy using computerized time clock system Monitor operating budget and adjust labor during slow periods
  • Ensure guest requests and concerns are addressed and done so in a timely fashion
  • Ensure that Guest Registration staff support and follow departmental and Association policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the Business Office vault is secure and proper balance is maintained
  • Build an environment that promotes consistent guest satisfaction
  • Develop ways to improve upon Guest Registration operating procedures
  • Actively support the Association's international training program
  • Collaborate with Conference Office staff to ensure conference groups receive appropriate attention Must possess a valid, USA state issued driver's license, an acceptable driving record, and comply with YMCA driving rules to be approved to operate YMCA vehicles
  • Assist with checking guests in and out of accommodations as necessary
  • Operate the switchboard as necessary
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous guest service and/or supervisory experience required
  • Must work well with frequent interruptions in a busy environment
  • Must sit and stand, get up and down frequently, and walk around during a work shift
  • Must have basic computer skills and develop knowledge of property management software
  • Must converse in English face to face, via telephone and two-way radio, and read and write English
  • Be or become a Colorado state certified Notary Public (desirable)
Compensation/Benefits: 

This is a full-time, year-round, position paying $42,000-$45,000 per year with full benefits, including:
