The South Mountain YMCA is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide warm and welcoming member service with strong communication skills to share the current details of program and services offered.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Maintain an orderly, safe and friendly environment with excellent member service as main priority.
  • Will act as the point person, supporting annual campaign, and process all transactions and correspondence accordingly.
  • Readily answers the telephone and provide accurate information in a professional manner.
  • Process payments for programs, open balances, and set up payment plans.
  • Support overall branch operations by ensuring that all, School Age Child Care, program, camp and membership registrations and transactions are processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all registration paperwork is properly completed and processed in coordination with Directors and Association Services AR department.
  • Support Branch program and camp Directors with program reports and rosters.
  • Provides administrative support to the department directors, as needed 
  • Provide account payable support to Business Administrator, ensuring all documentation is completed in accordance with requirements.
  • Performs such other job-related duties as may be periodically assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Customer Service/Registration/Office management.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in billing and collections.
  • Strong knowledge of Account receivable/payable accounting.
  • Strong Organizational skills, detail-oriented, flexible.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be collaborative in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in all Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook
