The Sports Director shall be directly responsible for the planning and implementation of youth and adult sports leaques, programs and skill development, as well as sports camps.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Plan, implement and evaluate programs and leagues in Sports Department.
  • Implement program management initiatives using required tools and processes.
  • Provide direct leadership to sports program.
  • Negotiate rental space contracts.  Develop and maintain relationships with local school districts and universities.
  • Development and implement after school programs in conjunction with the Program Director.
  • Hire, train, supervise and evaluate staff for Sports Department.
  • Train volunteer coaches for youth sports programs and act as staff liaison for coaches.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings for program staff.  Monitor and ensure all staff and coaches maintain required certifications.
  • Order and maintain inventory of program supplies.
  • Oversee all youth special events.
  • Market all assigned programs and assist with the development of program brochures.
  • Assist staff team with Annual Campaign events.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in physical education, recreation, or a related field/experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience working with volunteers and staff supervision is beneficial.
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $27,000.00 - $37,000.00
