The Child Care Director will provide a safe, healthy, organized, positve learning environment that meets the needs of all children ages 6 weeks to 12 years in accordance to Minnesota State Licensing rules. Must be a team player with the skills to motivate, lead, and build a strong staff team that will deliver an exceptional learning culture focused on education, skills, values, and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, and enhanced educational achievement for every child and their family.
Candidate will provide leadership for the strategy, systems, supervision, and structure of the program as well as the overall development, administration, and evaluation of the department. Will be accountable for maintaining full enrollment and a program portfolio serving children through structured curriculum that is engaging, educational, recreational and developmentally appropriate.
- Provide a positive learning environment that meets the needs of all children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old in accordance to state licensing rules
- Supervise full and part time staff
- Develop and manage budgets
- Lead marketing and manage enrollments to maintain full classrooms
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to child care
- Promote the mission and core values of the YMCA
- Knowledgeable in all local, state, and federal laws relating to child care
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in child care or related field
- Excellent leadership skills and ability to work well as a member of a team
- Two or more years of supervisory experience
