We are seeking a positive, enthusiastic, value driven aquatics leader who has a strong passion for both people and aquatics safety to lead and manage a multiple pool aquatic facility.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsibilities will include supervision, training, evaluation, and scheduling of aquatics staff and management of aquatic programs.
- Additional responsibilities will include planning, development, advancement, and implementation of aquatic services for members; development and management of the aquatics department budget, and establishing and maintaining collaborations with community partners to meet the needs of members, program participants, teams and special needs populations.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the aquatic field in a leadership capacity is required.
- Candidates should have a proven knowledge and work history of aquatic safety principles, rescue techniques, lifeguarding, and pool maintenance.
- Candidates should be familiar with all aspects of aquatic programming such as instructional swim lessons, competitive swim teams, water fitness and adaptive aquatics programs and have a high ability to recruit, retain, and coach staff while working within a team atmosphere.
- The preferred candidate will have excellent leadership, administrative, organizational and communication skills.
Required Certifications
- The incumbent must have current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, current American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification, and current Water Safety Instructor or YMCA Swim Instructor certification.
- Certified Pool Operator certification and Lifeguard Trainer preferred, or will be required within first 6 months of employment.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00
