The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is looking for a VP of Operations. There are many great reasons to consider this wonderful opportunity. - Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this Vice President of Operations will be responsible for the overall performance of a 4-branch operations team, including T-Boone Downtown YMCA, Moody Family YMCA, Grand Prairie YMCA, and Camp Grady Spruce. This position is accountable for the successful growth and development of the key result areas of branch success, including planning and implementation of the largest YMCA paid event in the world, the Dallas YMCA Turkey Trot. Also, would be responsible for association leadership to the strategic plan and other initiatives. Part of a 5-member OPS VP team lead by the COO.
- Have at least 8 years senior management experience and multi-branch supervision. Also, YMCA Organizational Leader certification is a plus.
- The position requires demonstrated success with operations and fiscal management, membership and program planning and development, annual campaign, staff development, board and volunteer relations and strong community relationships.
- Developing a more comprehensive corporate membership plan will be a key deliverable for this position.
- This position directly supervises a 250,000 sq. ft. downtown branch which includes 3 different leases, overseeing a crowded indoor parking lot, and a very diverse membership.
- The incumbent also supervises 3 executive directors and 3 other exempt positions.
- It indirectly gives leadership to an additional 28 professional positions and is responsible for a budget of $18 million.
- The individual must possess a solid track record of running his/her own successful branch to maximum results, plus lead/coach the successful performance of two other branches at least.
- The person must possess performance management skills and the ability to administer the operating policies and procedures in a manner that will facilitate the achievement of strategic plan goals and objectives for the Association.
- This person must have an understanding of the strong relationship between membership and program integration and success to meet the mission of the organization.
- Board development skills, and the ability to plan and implement an annual campaign is a must.
- The human relations aspect of this position is important. The incumbent must interpret the goals and objectives of both staff and volunteers at the branch level, and work closely with them toward goal achievement.
