Anti-Fracking Organizer

The anti-fracking organizer will work in conjunction with the Latin America Regional Team Leader and the Latin American Coordinator on the following responsibilities:

  • Participate in and coordinate anti-fracking activities
  • Develop ideas for online campaigns/petitions to support offline actions
  • Build relationships and involve partners, legislators, academics and others to support the fight against fracking
  • Write regular content and updates (blogs, email blasts) on fracking and climate change in Argentina
  • Increase number of volunteers that actively participate in campaign.
Skills/Experience: 

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of political and economic context in Argentina
  • Experience building partnerships and working with coalitions
  • Strong writing skills (Argentinian Spanish)
  • Experience developing online campaigns and creative actions
  • Ability to work independently/remotely
  • Highly organized

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences

  • Previous work on fracking in Argentina
  • Previous work on climate change
  • Research and analysis skills
  • Conversational English

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive to online communications (email, Skype), and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
