As the Manager, Org-Wide Knowledge Management, you will have the unique opportunity to support all national and regional staff in accelerating the work toward “One Day” through spreading our best learnings and knowledge to the right people at the right time. Specifically, you will influence how and when regional and national stakeholders interact with upcoming innovations, lessons learned, historical and institutional knowledge. In addition, you will participate in researching our people’s greatest knowledge needs and discovering where that knowledge resides. You will make someone’s day by capturing, codifying, and cataloging our expertise and applying the right technologies that will help TFA staff self-serve into the resources they need most. This position is a unique opportunity for an individual with a passion for helping others, implementing technology solutions, writing, and building strong relationships across geographical and work stream boundaries. The ideal candidate will also have experience or training in organizational learning principles such as knowledge management, adult learning, learning technologies, or innovation cycles. The Manager, Org-Wide Knowledge Management will report directly to the Managing Director, Org-Wide Knowledge Management.
- Provide direct support to TFA staff by monitoring our knowledge help channel and providing best practices and user support for knowledge management technology tools.
- Enhance knowledge management infrastructure through populating, migrating, archiving, and applying metadata to content in the appropriate technologies
- Apply knowledge capture methods for key content and supporting others in performing their own capture
- Bring growth opportunities to staff through supporting e-learning and adult learning projects.
- Assist in researching the needs of our community through auditing current tools, participating in pilots and requirement assessments, engaging users in testing our tools, and uncovering high-demand content for our enterprise wiki.
- Develop content by populating wiki entries, and providing general layout and editing support for our team’s documentation.
- Contribute to team-wide goals by driving the operations behind OWLS KM governing bodies and other project groups.
- Push essential knowledge, content, and projects to the right staff at the right time through compelling communications and internal marketing mechanisms.
- Develop your own knowledge and expertise by continuously growing in organizational knowledge and best practices for the field of knowledge management.
- 3-5 years of experience in an organizational learning field, or a combination of organizational learning, education, and Teach For America experience
- Strong technology skills and ability to develop expertise in new technologies
