  • Understand the background, goals and priorities of the MsB program.
  • Support the MsB program through administrative support to the Project Director and team leads.
  • Implement project management.
  • Meeting and event production for 20-100 participants.
Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Support MsB Director: Provide travel arrangements, calendar management, draft correspondence and process expenses, produce/review reports.  May act as a resource to solve problems on behalf of Director.
  • MsB Team Liaison: Effectively communicate information to assist team decisions and solve problems. Implement project management processes and practices to improve team workflow and effectiveness. Know how MsB relates to the big picture & contributes to the overall strategy.  May support grant administration.
  • Meeting and Event Production: Understand TNC event contract policies and procedures. Evaluate potential meeting and special event venues and vendors, negotiate contracts that achieve the meeting/event goals within the MsB meeting budget, process payments and keep records of expenses. Provide solutions to improve event effectiveness.  Event/meetings range from 20-100 people over multiple days including various formats.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

  • Decisions may bind the organization financially or legally. Ensure programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards, and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.   Make timely decisions under pressure. Take calculated risks and make dependable decisions in the face of uncertainty. Stand by decisions, but know when to modify decisions.
  • Effectively express messages verbally and in writing. Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information. Contribute to productive partnerships inside and outside the organization. Know how/why things work inside TNC and easily move through internal networks and channels for success. Understand team member roles, value the contribution of others and effectively deal with conflict.
  • Work is diversified and may not always fall under established practices and guidelines. May work from home/remote office. Travel frequently, work long and flexible hours as needed. Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and moderate physical exertion and/or strain.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience
Skills/Experience: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Experience managing and implementing multiple projects and complex processes
  • Experience negotiating agreements
  • Event/meeting planning experience
  • Experience with current technology in relevant field

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be / become proficient with Highly Effective Teams and Conversant techniques
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborate role
  • Proficient in interpreting guidelines and manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting data
  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
