The Fall River YMCA is located in the heart of Fall River and provides an exciting challenge for an enthusiastic leader to diversify program offerings and expand the existing membership base. With four floors of fully renovated space, loaded with historic details, the Fall River YMCA offers an Education Achievement Center, summer camp, child-watch and after-school child care programs as well as state of the art community meeting, wellness, group exercise and aquatics facilities. Innovative leadership will elevate the Fall River YMCA and strengthen and expand it’s position as a leader in the Fall River Community.

The position reports directly to the President/CEO and must possess excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills to positively engage and develop the full and part-time staff team. Candidate must also have demonstrated success and experience in annual fund raising, facility management oversight and board development.

The primary responsibility is for the leadership and administration of the strategic plan, budget, programs and services of the branch. Duties include the Annual Campaign, new membership strategies, program development, facility/property management, board development, capital development, marketing, and staff supervision.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to create successful and strategic relationships with influential leaders and members of the community and an ability to leverage those relationships to enhance support for the Y mission. Candidates will be evaluated on their prior experience and success in these areas as well as maintaining a superior member experience and outstanding customer service.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Strategic planning and fundraising experience including annual campaigns.
  • A proven track record of budgetary and fiscal management greater than $1M.
  • Evening and /or early morning, and/or weekend hours required periodically. Occasioanl travel required.
Educational Background: 
Accredited 4-year college degree.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and personal values consistent with the YMCA mission.
  • Minimum fives years experience at a comparable organization with direct supervision of multiple levels of staff and employees.
  • Proven ability as a fundraiser.

Compensation/Benefits: 

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00
