The Bay Area Region is made of 4 unique communities that are all working towards a single Bay vision of increasing the number of high performing schools and building the leadership capacity of their CM’s. Each community has designed a specific approach to carrying out this vision that is responsive to the specific needs and context of their community and location. Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred.
Skills/Experience: 

Prior Experience

  • Minimum three years of highly effective teaching experience.
  • Experience coaching teachers and / or leading teacher development preferred.
  • Teaching experience in one of the 4 Bay Area communities preferred.
  • Experience designing arcs of learning/ professional development for educators, and/or leading a team of educators to outcomes, preferred. (San Francisco)

Work Demands

  •  Must be able to travel regularly around placement community and occasionally to the other Bay Area offices (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, Richmond).
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary; overnight travel is minimal.
  • May be required to work Summer Institute
  • Ideally able to start to by mid-June
