Wounded Warrior Project’s (WWP) Resource Development Coordinator is a member of WWP’s resource development fundraising team and will share in the financial goal for the team. The Resource Development Coordinator is responsible for providing assistance for various supporters including, but is not limited to, major donors, strategic partners, events, corporate partners and workplace giving initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist in researching, developing, and tracking of supporters for the team
  • Serve as initial point of contact for inquiries and assist team with internal and external communication
  • Assist in document production and stewardship correspondence
  • Input data into the CRM and manage database information
  • Coordinate travel and manage calendars for team
  • Plan and organize cultivation events
  • Provide direct administrative support to the Major Gifts Manager, Strategic Partnerships Manager and Directors within these teams
  • Support a variety of projects that drive support via companies and/or individuals
  • Shadow specialist, managers and leadership at meetings for learning and mentorship opportunities
  • Other related duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Understanding of development “best practices” to help achieve team/Resource Development goals
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build rapport via phone and email
  • Ability to listen and identify questions, areas of interest and willingness to help supporters get connected
  • Excellent attention to detail, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and multi-task
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently; exercise confidentiality and good judgment
  • Resourceful, well-organized, dependable and efficient
  • Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in WebEx and Microsoft Office Programs:  MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to travel as needed

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year experience within a professional and customer focused business setting required
  • Prior experience with fundraising, sales and/or donor relations preferred
  • Prior experience with a CRM preferred
