Saratoga Regional YMCA is a $14 million, 5 branch association with the potential to expand beyond our existing 27,000 members.  Our Membership Executive is charged with leading the membership efforts of the Saratoga Regional YMCA, and with growing the number of members we serve. 

The Membership Executive reports to the COO and is responsible for directing all aspects of membership for the Saratoga Regional YMCA including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members and support of Branch Executive Directors for their front line staff.  Develops, plans and implements new procedures and methods within association guidelines to achieve sales and strategic goals. Assists the Directors in development of member centered programs.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Drives inclusive membership strategies that support member sales, member engagement and retention of existing members. 
  • Responsible for membership initiatives such as SIBI(membership app)  & OPEN-LINE (member experience improvement tool) to better serve our members.
  • Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration. Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments and provides ongoing support to Program.
  • Assist with Marketing & Social Media communications. Such as the Website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, cable and newspaper articles/promotions.
  • Creates a member-focused culture and models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Implements membership strategies that support retention of existing members. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
  • Cultivate a member-focused staff team who are fully trained and educated to engage and support members, potential members, guests and fellow staff. 
  • Build and develop staff while providing opportunities for succession planning. Train all Member Engagement Representatives on DAXKO, conducting member interview (tours), closing sales techniques, building relationships and customer service. Maintain a system where all staff receives training weekly in at least one of the above-mentioned areas. 
  • Data: Continually compile and use survey results to close service area gaps such as Welcome Center standard operating procedures, interview/tour conversions, knowledge of staff during membership transactions, overall membership satisfaction, and membership cancellations. 
  • Keep accurate records on Membership numbers, statistics and retention reports monthly.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous supervisory experience in sales and customer service preferred, which would include three or more years’ experience in managing exempt personnel or equivalency preferred.
  • Be strong in human relations with exceptional listening and understanding skills, the ability to maintain a mission-focused culture and exhibit solid decision-making skills.
  • Have demonstrated coaching skills in program development and implementation.
Compensation/Benefits: 

 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00
