Responsibilities:

• Will be a strategic thought-and support partner for the Senior Pastor.
• Works closely with the Senior Pastor to set and implement the vision and strategic direction for the Church's ministry.
• Provide strategic direction and support for Purpose Pastors to ensure successful execution of their ministry initiatives.
• Coordinates with Senior Pastor and other members of the ministry staff to ensure that all aspects of the ministry are running smoothly and that there is an engagement and seamless interface with THRIVE.
• Will be required to preach on any given Sunday at Senior Pastor’s request, may be asked to teach biblical education courses, and perform pastoral care duties.
• Coordinate and ensure responsive scheduling for services such as: baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
• Oversees the Ministry Purpose and the development of new initiatives that help support the growth and success of the Church.
• Develop and put forward innovative initiatives that educate and support options for encouraging giving to the church.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and spiritually inspiring environment while keeping employees accountable to Church policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
• Ensure that suitable metrics are in place to measure performance and progress for all departments.
• Ensure all ministry activities follow the church’s scriptural teaching, as well as state and federal laws.
• Oversee the financial health of the ministries to ensure that each has sufficient funds to operate.
• Develop new programs, activities, and initiatives for the ministry to keep it fresh and relevant to church mission.
• Maintain regular communication with the congregation about ministry initiatives, changes, and upcoming events.
• Promote a culture of high-performance, high ethics, and continuous improvement.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
