AARP's Integrated Marketing and Member Benefits team is seeking an intern for summer 2019. Requirements include the pursuit of an undergraduate degree in business, marketing or communications and a strong interest in digital user experiences, business development and strategy, multi-channel integration and emerging trends.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Support the Member Value team. This includes providing support for new business development efforts such as conducting background and historical briefs, conducting market scans and participating with the team on outreach and member value offering development. Evaluating opportunities to leverage the capabilities within AARP to deliver maximum value and create strong deals. This position will also support the development of key business enablers aimed to improve the AARP member experience.
  • Support the digital experiences for several of AARP’s top member benefit and social impact issue areas digital platforms, which may include: auto (aarp.org/auto), caregiving (aarp.org/caregiving), fraud, healthy living, hearing (aarp.org/hearing), travel (aarp.org/travel), and work & jobs (aarp.org/work) and others as identified. Assist members of the team on projects related to digital strategy and implementation, content development and marketing. Conduct internet research on emerging trends in these categories such as consumer behavior, industry solutions, competitive landscape, etc.
Educational Background: 
Interns must be currently enrolled in a degreed program at an accredited college or university; and be considered rising undergraduate juniors or seniors, graduate students, or post doctorate students.   
Skills/Experience: 

AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers.  This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.

Compensation/Benefits: 

Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
