Save the Children is a recognized leader in protecting children in emergencies in the U.S. and ensuring children and their families have the resources they need to recover. The U.S. Emergencies Intern will support the department across our programs, operations and mobilization teams and support projects and overall coordination across the department. The Intern must be a nimble, team player, with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and able to juggle competing priorities.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Closely collaborate with the team to plan and implement critical trainings across the U.S. Emergencies department
- Act as a Knowledge Management (KM) focal point supporting the KM team lead to implement new KM strategy
- Support the Mobilization team with surge inventory across 3 headquarter offices to ensure all the critical deployment items are fully stocked and at our disposal
- Support data collection and entry across response and recovery programs
- Provide programmatic research support
- Work with the team to draft critical programmatic communications
Educational Background:
Must be an actively enrolled undergraduate student or have graduated within 6 months of start date
Skills/Experience:
- Possess strong written skills, solid interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Currently eligible to work in the U.S.
