World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world’s leading conservation organization, seeks an intern to assist with Panda Nation, WWF's peer-to-peer fundraising program. 

This position provides an opportunity for an individual to play an active and substantial role in helping grow WWF’s Peer-to-Peer (P2P) fundraising program, Panda Nation. This program relies on a multi-channel engagement approach,empowering individuals and groups to raise funds from their friends and family members primarily by participating in athletic events and celebrating special occasions. The intern will work directly with members of the Panda Nation team to help develop P2P campaigns, events, and provide overall assistance with program strategy and communications.  

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for existing Panda Nation fundraisers by providing them with fundraising tips and the technical support they need to be successful with their fundraising efforts;
  • Respond to inquiries from people interested in learning more about WWF’s Panda Nation program, including Panda Paddle;
  • Develop engaging and creative content that will be used in emails, advertisements, print materials, and on the website to acquire new Panda Nation fundraisers;
  • Identify compelling persona interest stories with Panda Nation fundraisers and outline and craft them as necessary;
  • Seek opportunities and partnerships for Panda Nation to further our reach in new online and offline territories;
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Two years of experience (full-time or paid internships) in marketing, communications, fundraising, or event planning;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness and ability to work in a team environment, but also independently; 
  • Attention to detail, ability to understand and prioritize multiple requests from different team members;
  • Must be a self-guided, creative, highly organized, and motivated individual;
  • Proactive problem-solving and creative critical thinking and analysis; and
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, and Excel).

Knowledge and Skills Preferred: 

  • Experience in creating a positive customer service experience;
  • Comfortable with Adobe Photoshop, HTML/CSS, and Luminate Online’sTeamRaiser; 
  • Knowledge of social media channels and experience building stories across multiple channels – Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter;
