Audubon’s Wings internship program invites students and recent graduates to help shape a healthy environment and vibrant future for birds – and all of us who share the planet with them.
Expand your Wings with Audubon IAP and learn how:
- Socioeconomic development with rural communities can support conservation.
- The role of public/private partnerships in conservation
- International conservation efforts that support bird conservation and people’s livelihoods
- Ecotourism as a conservation tool
Areas of Responsibility:
- Coordinating outreach efforts to the Audubon network for the bird-tourism project
- Development of materials to help support the initiative.
- Support the preparing of briefing materials for chapters, funders, government agencies.
- Organize and participate in calls and meetings to support the initiative.
Educational Background:
Ideal candidates will be pursuing or have completed an undergraduate degree in environmental, tourism, international studies, or similar degrees
Skills/Experience:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Strong and effective communication with an ability to work and collaborate with a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and cultures
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Fluency in Spanish
- Proficiency with MS Office
Other desirable qualities and experience include:
- Dedication to conservation of the environment
